Hepatitis B can be treated. In the United States 862,000 people are estimated to be living with chronic, long-term hepatitis B. Testing for Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is the primary way to identify persons chronic HBV infection.
Hepatitis C can be cured. Over 90 percent of people infected with HCV can be cured with 8-12 weeks of oral therapy. Unfortunately, almost half of people with hepatitis C are unaware of their infection. Testing is the first step to accessing curative treatment. Get tested, get cured.
